Roads, Steps, and Silent Encounters
There are roads that carry us to places we never planned to reach, only so we can meet the people who were meant to cross our path.
There are steps that lead us somewhere without explanation, and only once we arrive do we understand that this was exactly where we needed to be.
There are people who leave our lives, yet remain forever woven into our soul — quietly present, shaping who we become.
And there are moments so full, so alive, that we wish we could suspend them in time, return to them again and again, and feel once more the gentle embrace of happiness they carried.
What Life Makes Us Forget
Life, in its constant movement, often makes us forget:
We forget the moments.
The hours.
The beauty we once noticed.
The emotions that touched us deeply.
The people who mattered.
The places that awakened something inside us.
We even forget the first steps of the journey that slowly brought us closer to who we are today.
Remembering
I write these lines because I, too, forgot. I forgot the wonders of my own life — until one day, without planning, my steps led me to an unfamiliar place. A place that gently reminded me of who I am and why I came into this world. And there, as if whispered from a story long remembered, I felt these words rise within me:
“I will show you the incredible light of your being when you are alone… when you are in the dark.”
The Light We Carry
In that moment, I smiled. And a quiet tear of gratitude found its way to my eye. Because I understood something simple and profound: the light we carry in our heart has the power to awaken light in the hearts of others. When we remember this — when we choose to live from that place — we begin to illuminate more than just our own path. Together, gently, one light at a time, we can brighten the world.
