What Is Coaching?

Coaching, therapy, and consulting — three distinct paths

Although they are often mentioned together, coaching, therapy, and consulting serve very different purposes.

Therapy focuses primarily on healing. It often explores the past, unresolved emotional wounds, trauma, or psychological patterns in order to restore emotional wellbeing. Therapy is essential when someone needs support processing pain, loss, or mental health challenges.

Consulting, on the other hand, is solution-driven. A consultant analyzes a problem and provides answers, strategies, or expert recommendations. The consultant tells you what to do based on their knowledge and experience.

Coaching is different.
It is not about diagnosing, fixing, or giving answers. Coaching is action-oriented and future-focused. It works with where you are now and where you want to go, helping you uncover your own insights, strengths, and direction.

The coaching relationship

As your coach, I do not tell you who to be or what to choose. Instead, I create a supportive, safe space where clarity emerges naturally. Through powerful questions, reflection, and awareness, you begin to access answers that already exist within you.

Coaching is a partnership. It is collaborative, respectful, and empowering. Each session is designed to create a meaningful experience, not just a conversation. Depending on your needs, this may include mindset work, guided reflection, body awareness, breathwork, or gentle meditative practices.

The goal is not only insight — but integration and action.

What is self-development coaching?

Self-development coaching supports people who want to live more consciously, intentionally, and aligned with who they truly are.It is a powerful tool used by individuals who are ready to take responsibility for their growth and create a life that feels meaningful, balanced, and fulfilling.
